WHO WE ARE
« We like to share our enthusiasm with international wine lovers. All the wine experiences we build together for them have a unique patrimonial background because we understand wine as a cultural and a luxury object designed by nature and human vision.»
A HEC and Sciences-Po graduate, Aurélie still remains an autodidact when it comes to wine. She entered the wine world by passion when she was 20-year old. She was first responsible for different students wine clubs. She started to work in Bordeaux at Château Margaux and then ran the Médoc Crus Bourgeois Union. Aurélie moved to Lyon and Mâcon with her husband -who happens to be a winemaker. While she launched the first and only wine marketing & culture class at HEC in 2005, Aurélie spent time understanding the different French main vineyards, published a book on Château Palmer and another didactic book for students and finally won the European Champagne Ambassadors Trophy in 2008.
She partnered with Julien and joined Vindême in 2009. Aurélie is in charge of cultural actions, education, lectures and consulting.
Julien became a wine enthusiast when he was studying chemistry at Dijon University. He quickly obtained a degree in Oenology in 2001 and started to make wine around the world. His learning tour took him to California, Chile and New-Zealand and ended up in the South of France.
More than a winemaker, he discovered himself an entrepreneur. He came to Lyon Business School with the idea of founding his own company. In 2007 he launched Vindême. His mission statement his to deeply root wine sales into culture. The wine world is so rich in patrimony, stories and great people. Vindême aims at leveraging the richness.
Living in Tournon sur Rhône with his family, Julien is in close relationship with the estates, châteaux and brands. He keeps travelling to France and abroad to meet the producers, in the company of passionate wine lovers.
Hugues now spearheads our Bordeaux office, carefully sourcing Vindême's wine and leads our truly bespoke private client business with personalised, unique and exclusive offers from the cellars of the most highly regarded Chateau in the world. Hugues' passion for everything wine will not only inspire you but change the way you look at wine forever more.
